CECILE D. PERRY ASHLAND – Cecile (Daigle) “Toots” Perry, 79, died July 19, 2004, at a Massachusetts hospital. She was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Limestone, the daughter of Paul and Clara (Thibideau) Daigle. She was a graduate of Limestone High School, Aroostook State Normal School and Gorham State Teachers College. Prior to her marriage, Cecile taught school. After moving to Ashland, she worked as a bookkeeper for the family hardware store in Ashland. Toots, as she was affectionately known, was involved in her community and church as a member of the SAD No. 32 school board for several years and sang in the choir at St. Mark Parish for many years. Her husband of 57 years, Raymond, passed away March 19, 2004. She is survived by two sons, Raymond Scott Perry and his wife, Robin Lessoff-Perry, M.D., of Burlington, Vt., Christopher Perry and his wife, Linda, of Geyserville, Calif.; one daughter, Patricia Sue Kost and her husband, Daniel, of Wrentham, Mass.; six grandchildren, Bryan Perry of San Diego, Calif., Jason Perry of Presque Isle, Adrienne Perry of Burlington, Vt., Samuel, Nathan, and Jackson Kost, all of Wrentham, Mass.; two step-grandchildren, Benjamin Esancy of St. Albans, Vt., and Rachel Esancy of Northampton, Mass.; two great-grandchildren, Alexandra Marie Perry and Taylor Nicole Perry; one brother, Romeo Daigle of Maryland; two sisters, Rita (Daigle) Evans of New York and Gloria (Daigle) Jones of California. Relatives and friends may call 11 a.m. until time of service on Monday, at the St. Mark Catholic Church, Ashland. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Michael Hinken, pastor, celebrant. Interment will be in the Ashland Municipal Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute in her memory to the St. Mark Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, P.O.
