EAGLE LAKE – Cecile (Dube) Soucy, 90, died peacefully April 26, 2007, at Eagle Lake Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 21, 1916, at Eagle Lake, the daughter of Edward and Catherine “Labbe” Dube. Cecile was a past member of the Ladies of St. Anne, Eagle Lake. One of her favorite pastimes was playing Bingo. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by four sons, Richard and his wife, Bertha Soucy, of Eagle Lake, Norman and his wife, Betty Soucy, of Berlington, Conn., Roger and his wife, Norma Soucy, of Presque Isle and Gerald Soucy and his special friend, Patsy, of Sanford, Fla.; two dauthters, Joan and her husband, Donald Drake, of Winterville and Elizabeth Albert and her special friend, Bill, of Southington, Conn.; one sister, Lena Daigle of Waterville; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to both her parents, she was predeceased by five brothers, Joe, Eddie, Willie, Leonard and Rene; and four sisters; Yvonne, Evan-geline, Margarette and Eva. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent and 9 a.m. Monday until time of departure for Eagle Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Spring burial will be May 18, at the parish cemetery.
