BAR HARBOR – Cecilia A. Rene, 95, formerly of Harborview Apt., Blue Hill, died June 13, 2008, at Sonogee Rehabilitation & Living Center, Bar Harbor. She was born in Fortierville, Quebec, a daughter of the late Evangeliste and Marie Anne (Marcotte) Laquerre. She lived most of her life in Woonsocket, R.I., moving to Maine in 1998 to live near her granddaughter and her family, Jack and Donna Carlin of Surry. Mrs. Rene was the wife of the late Lucien J. Rene. Mrs. Rene was a professional seamstress, enjoyed social events and helping her neighbors. She is survived by a daughter, Lena Rene of Bangor; a sister in Florida; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was the oldest of 12 children; and was predeceased by her husband, two daughters, a stepson and 10 of her younger siblings. A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, June 28, in Woonsocket, R.I.
