EAST MACHIAS – Celia F. Bannon, 81, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at her daughter’s home in East Machias. She was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Columbia Falls, the daughter of the late Earl and Lettie (Worcester) Tibbetts. Mrs. Bannon was a member of Holy Name Church, Machias. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Bannon who died in 1982; and a very special friend, Floyd Doten in 1999. Family members include a daughter, Ellen Foss and her husband, Richard, of East Machias; two granddaughters, Brenda Hedtke and her husband, Rick and Denise Pennell and her husband, Tim; four great-granddaughters, Amber and Katlynn Wood, McKenna Kedtke and Delaney Pennell, all of Leonardtown, Md.; two sisters, Rena Durant and her husband, Marty, of Winthrop, Mass., and Earlene Matheson of Melrose, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews. Special children to Celia were, Thomas Foss and his wife, Bobbi and their children, Aaron, Austin and Alexis, of East Machias, Linda Foss and daughter, Alicia and companion, Steve Andrews and their daughter, Emily, of Mars Hill, Heidi Wood and her husband, Andrew and their sons, Quentin and Kyle, of Levant. There will be no visiting hours. A family graveside service will be held at Jacksonville Cemetery, East Machias, at a later date.
