STONINGTON – Celia Mae (Eaton) Davis, 95, died May 19, 2006. She was born Aug. 13, 1910, in Stonington, the daughter of the late Effie and Calvin Eaton. Celia was a member of the Oceanville Baptist Church. She loved watching the Boston Red Sox and the Celtics. Celia lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Celia was predeceased by her husband, Fountain Davis; a brother, Harold; and her sister, Natalie. She is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Steele and husband, Sterling “Dave”; a brother, Ralph Eaton; a sister, Norma McGuffie; grandchildren, Laurie Eaton and husband, Donald, Gary Steele and wife, Jenni, and Cheryl Steele; great-grandchildren, Ryan and his wife, Christie, Heath, Carrie, Jared, Haley, Mindy, Ashley, and Garrett; and her beloved great-great-grand-children, Dillan and Riley. At Celia’s request there will be no visiting hours. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, at the Oceanville Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Ron Libby. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Oceanville Baptist Church, 459 Oceanville Rd., Stonington, ME 04681.
