ELLSWORTH – Charles “Charlie” Butler, 84, died June 28, 2004, at Maine Coast Memorial Hospi-tal. He was born May 15, 1920, in Hancock, the son of Howard and Bernice (Page) Butler. Charlie enjoyed playing horseshoes, hunting, fishing, camping and loved to go to the dances. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Patricia (Young) Butler; daughters, Alice Bagley and her husband, Rudy, of Hancock, Karen Hodgdon and her husband, Daryl, of Hancock; brothers, Merle Butler of Franklin, Wayne Butler of Hancock; sisters, Leola Wilbur, Helen Nyilas, both of Hancock; grandchildren, Corey Bagley and his wife, Stacey, Shawn Bagley and his wife, Christine, of Hancock, Lisa Hodgdon and fianc?, Paul Jones, and Michael Hodgdon of Hancock; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Katelynn Bagley; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Gilman Kief. Calling hours will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at the Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2004.
