HOLDEN – Charles Francis McInnis, 82, died Nov. 9, 2004, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Bangor. He was born Nov. 23, 1921, in Bangor, the son of Charles A. and Rose M. (King) McInnis. Charles was a graduate of John Bapst High School. He served as a medical corpsman in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as a machinist from the Maine Central Railroad in the early 80s with 40 years of service. He is survived by one sister, Emma McInnis of Bangor; a special family friend, John O’Donnell and his family. Char-les was predeceased by three brothers, Danny, Leo and Bill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Richard C. McLaughlin presider. Friends may call at Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the family departs for St. Mary’s. Interment will be in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
