MANCHESTER, N.H. – Char-les Francis Cassily, 94, died Sept. 16, 2007. He was born Oct. 8, 1912, in Kittery, the son of Edward and Minnie (Butler) Cassily. He had resided in Dover, N.H., Rochester, N.H., Newport, R.I., and had spent most of his life in Bangor. He attended Bangor public schools and graduated from Bangor High School in 1930. He had been employed by CIT Corp., for 34 years and retired as district manager. He was predeceased by his first wife, Anne F. (Chamberlain) Cassily, whom he had been married to for 25 years. He was also predeceased by his second wife, Hilda (Bennett) Cassily, to whom he had been married for 20 years. Members of his family include his sons, Michael C. Cassily of Manchester, N.H., and Dennis A. Cassily of Hooksett, N.H.; two daughters, Sheila Koot of South Dartmouth, Mass., and Maureen LaVoie of Fitchburg, Mass.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at St. Hedwig Church, Beech Street, Manchester, N.H. Inurnment will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Dover, N.H., at the convenience of the family.
