HOULTON- Charles Gillen Fitzpatrick, 79, died Jan. 23, 2006, at Houlton. He was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Littleton, the son of Charles A. and Mildred (McIver) Fitzpatrick. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. Charles is survived by his wife, Gloria (Leighton) Fitzpatrick of Houlton; seven children, Claudia and her husband, John Klausenburg, of Hodgdon, Julie and her husband, James Hogan, of Hodgdon, Cathy and her husband, Terry Mitchell, of Middletown, Conn., Dean and his wife, Stacy Fitzpatrick, of Houlton, Joyce and her husband, John V. Connery, of Newington, Conn., two stepsons, Larry and his wife, Lori Maggi, of Haddam, Conn. and Ernie and his wife, Robin Maggi, of West Hartford Conn.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Geraldine Alberts of Clinton and Ruthann Swanson of Unity; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Philip and John; his pets, Princes, Spookie, Betsy and Gizmo. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Houlton with Fr. Eddy Morin celebrant.
