BAR HARBOR – Charlotte Christine Marsh, 79, died Feb. 18, 2007, at Sonogee, Bar Harbor. She was born Dec. 15, 1927, in East Eddington, the daughter of the late Hugh and Avis (Comins) Marsh. She was a graduate of Bangor High School and subsequently attended the University of Maine – Orono. An elementary school teacher for approximately 25 years, she worked in Waite, Holden, Dedham, Trenton and Rockland. Since retiring more than 30 years ago, she had resided in Bar Harbor. Charlotte has been a member of the Baptist Church on Ledgelawn Street. Charlotte is survived by her sister, Ada M. Henderson, as well as, two nieces and two nephews. Charlotte’s family wishes to express their utmost gratitude to the community of Bar Harbor for the remarkable kindness it has bestowed upon Charlotte over the period of many years; especially to her physician, Dr. Edward Gilmore, for his highly competent and most dedicated care for nearly 40 years. They would also like to acknowledge the staff of Sonogee, who cared for Charlotte in a most compassionate and patient manner for nearly five years, as well as, Bob and Mike Gilfellan at West End Drugs. Last but not least, they wish to thank the Rev. Scott Records and the wonderful friends at the Baptist Church, including her devoted longtime and faithful friend, Harriet Mitchell. A memorial service is planned for sometime in May.
