LEE – Charlotte L. Boobar, 65, passed away unexpectedly, Dec. 28, 2004, at her home. She was born March 26, 1939, in Howland, the daughter of Lawrence and Edith (Philbrook) Drake. Charlotte was an active member of the Springfield Community Chapel and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by three children, Brenda and her husband, Craig Louie, Earle D. Boobar and his wife, Sandy, all of Old Town, and Leta and her husband, Joe Fowler, of Bangor; four grandchildren, Billie Jo and her husband, Josh Smith, Matthew Boobar, Adam Louis, and Danyle Boobar; a great-granddaughter, Mia Lee Smith; four siblings, Marie Boobar of Howland, Kenneth Drake of Alexander, Kermit Drake of Idaho and Rita Smith of Passadumkeag; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Charlotte was predeceased by her husband, Earle D. Boobar Sr.; a granddaughter, Randi Boobar; a great-grandson, David Smith; and a brother, Blaine Drake. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bruce Swan officiating. Spring interment will be in Medford Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Springfield Community Chapel. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
