CASTINE – Christine Collar, wife of the late Ernest Collar Sr. of Castine died Nov. 3, 2005. She was 95. She was born Christine Eaton in Little Deer Isle in 1910 and moved to Castine as a teenager. She was the daughter of Mace and Ada Eaton. Her father and her brother, Alonzo Eaton were well-known Downeast boat builders in Castine. She was active as an officer in the Eastern Star for many years and was also a member of the Rebekahs. She is survived by one son, Ernie Collar of Paris, France; two daughters, Deanna Hoffman of Edina, Minn. and Olive Mulligan and husband, Corry, of Williamsburg, Va.; two granddaughters, Karen Broccolichi of Paris, France and Jennifer Bell of Minneapolis, Minn.; two grandsons, Bob Mulligan of Williamsburg; Va. and Chris Mulligan of Roswell, Ga.; three great-grandsons, Sean, Colin and Corry Mulligan; and two great-granddaughters, Johana and Elena Broccolichi. Her great- great-grandson, Enzo Victor Ernest Casanove, was born in Paris, France, a few weeks prior to her death. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, with a memorial service 6 p.m. at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
