BRUNSWICK – Clarence S. Merrill, 81, of Durham Road died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004, at a Brunswick hosp-ital after a period of ill health. He was born Aug. 22, 1922, in Stetson, the son of Newton D. and Hattie (Prescott) Merrill. He attended Stetson schools and graduated from Stetson High School. Mr. Merrill was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European operations. He spent most of his life working in industry. Surviving are his wife, Delma Merrill of Brunswick; a son, David and his wife, Susan and grandson, Justin, all of Texas; a daughter, Katharine Robinson of Waterville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Everett, Ralph, Harry, Theodore and William; and three sisters, Marion, Olive and Louise. At Mr. Merrill’s request, services will be private.
