VAN BUREN – Claude J. Boucher, 78, died unexpectedly May 11, 2007, at his Main Street residence. He was born Jan. 11, 1929, in Van Buren, the son of Ernest and Alphonsine (Marquis) Boucher. Claude was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Levasseur-Farrell Post No. 49, and Knights of Columbus Council 1635, Van Buren. He was employed by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad for about 40 years. He is survived by one son, Donald Boucher of Houston; one sister, Fernande Boucher of Harpswell; one grandson, Christopher Boucher; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Caribou.
