VAN BUREN – Claudette M. Ruest, 71, died Jan. 30, 2007, at a Caribou hospital. She was born at Green River, New Brunswick, Canada, Nov. 19, 1935, the daughter of Joseph and Helene (Cyr) Roy. Claudette is survived by her husband, Roland Ruest of Van Buren; one daughter, Patsy Cormier and her husband, Andre, of Moncton, New Brunswick; one granddaughter, Maureen Cormier of Moncton, New Brunswick; two brothers, Donat Roy and his wife, Irene, of North Windham, Conn., and Armand Roy and his wife, Julie, of East Hampton, Conn.; four sisters, Gaetanne Grondin and Lillian Landry, both of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Anne Gauvin of Salem, N.H., and Glorianne Chasse and her husband, Nelson, of Van Buren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Germain Roy; and a sister, Jeanne Michaud. There will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in Grande Riviere Cemetery.
