ORRINGTON – Colby Nutt, 10, loving son of Carrie Holyoke of Orrington and Todd Nutt of Hudson, died Jan. 14, 2005, in Orrington after a long illness. He was born Nov. 28, 1994, in Bangor. Colby attended Orrington Elementary School and was a devoted member of the First Apostolic Church of Brewer. He had a close relationship with his Pastor David Smith. His big heart and bright out look on life were a true inspiration to all who came in contact with him. The love he shared with those around him will forever live on. In addition to his parents, Colby is survived by his brother, Trevor; and sister, Taylor; and his caring stepfather, Ralph Holyoke of Orrington; grandparents, Susan Doyle of Brewer, Jerry Doyle of Orrington, Cathey and Richard Whitcomb of Hudson, Gordon and Patty Nutt of Florida; great-grandmothers, Marjorie Trafton of Brewer, and Rose Boyorak of Bangor; special aunt, Sherry Theberge and husband, Jody Theberge and their three children, Tyler, Karli and Nicholas, who Colby shared a special bond with. Also surviving are an uncle, Jerry Doyle and his wife, Shaune Doyle and their son, Cameron of Brewer; aunts, Amanda and Jessica Whitcomb of Hudson. He was predeceased by an uncle, Josh Nutt. The family would like to offer thanks to all who helped with Colby’s medical care with a special thank you to Dr. Adam Lauer and the members of Colby’s hospice care. Thanks to Dale Henderson for his generosity to Colby and our family. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. Funeral services will be held noon Sunday at the First Apostolic Church, Parkway South, Brewer, with the Rev. David Smith, pastor, officiating.
