BLUE HILL – Constance “Connie” Louise Billings Bridges, 80, died Sept. 22, 2007, at Blue Hill Hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Blue Hill, the daughter of Gerald N. and Wilma (Lurvey) Butler. She was a loving and caring, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Connie was an active member of First Baptist Church of Blue Hill, where she always took care of the flowers. She was a member of the Blue Hill Garden Club, Blue Hill Historical Society, served on the Auxiliary of Duffy Wes-cott Post No. 85, Blue Hill, Order of Eastern Star, Blue Hill Chapter, and also served on the board of the Seaside Cem-etery Association. She was a 30-year volunteer of Blue Hill Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Connie was very active with her daughters in Girl Scouts. For the last 20 years, she attended aqua aerobics class, where she had many friends. She is survived by her companion, Percy Blaisdell of Ellsworth; six daughters, Linda Millington and husband, Dwayne, of Whitefield, Annette Candage and husband, John, of Blue Hill, Nancy Sherman of Orland, Lisa Gargan and husband, Paul, of Eddington, Diane Brann and husband, Stefan, of Orland and Elizabeth Butler and husband, James, of Blue Hill; one brother, Gerald R. Butler and wife, Jackie, of Blue Hill; one sister, Elaine Butler Locke and husband, David, of South Gardiner; one cousin, Reginald Bowden of Orono; a sister-in-law, Helen Butler of Blue Hill; 13 grandchildren, three great-grand-children, many nieces and nephews. Connie was predeceased by her first husband, James A. Billings Jr.; her second husband, Merton Bridges; her brother, Walter Butler; and son-in-law, Reginald Sherman. Friends are invited to call 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Blue Hill, with the Revs. Stephen and Sheila Heniese officiating. Interment will be at Seaside Cemetery, Blue Hill.
