FORT KENT – Corinne (Clavette) Ouellette, 84, beloved wife of Rock Ouellette, died Aug. 20, 2004, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born in St. Basile, N.B. Canada, Sept. 11, 1919, the daughter of Florent and Elodie (Martin) Clavette. She was an avid bridge player and received the Life Master award in 1994. She was a member of the Fort Kent and Edmundston, N.B. Canada Bridge Clubs. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Rock Ouellette of Fort Kent; three children, Frances Merz and her husband, Walter of Hollywood Fla., Lynne Pelletier and her husband, Gerald, of Brunswick, and Philip Ouellette of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Zoel Clavette of Edmundston, N.B.; three granddaughters, Katie, Megan and Amy Pelletier; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Gerard; and five sisters, Leona Michaud, Mattie Clavette, Celanie Dumais, Jeanne Pelletier and Mae Caron. Friends may call 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, until the time of services at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 3 p.m. Wednesday, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal services will follow in the parish cemetery.
