VAN BUREN – Corinne M. Lebel, 92, died Nov. 16, 2006, at Van Buren, after a brief illness. She was born Nov. 22, 1913, in Lille, the daughter of Alexis and Catherine (Theriault) Parent. She and her husband, Leo, had owned the Tastee Freeze, Van Buren, for a number of years. Mrs. Lebel was a member of the Evangeline Circle; Daughters of Isabella, for 68 years serving for many years as banner-bearer; the Ladies of Ste. Anne and the Third Order of Mary. She lived her Cursillo several years ago. Mrs. Lebel is survived by two sons, Guy Lebel and Omer Lebel and his wife, Bobbie, all of Van Buren; two daughters, Cecile Lebel and Jeannette Parsons, both of Van Buren; two sisters, Gertrude Paradis of East Hartford, Conn., and Anne Parent of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, Jana Curran and her husband, Bob, David Lebel and his wife, Judy, Mark Lebel and his wife, Kim, Brian Lebel and his wife, Melissa, Lisa Parent and her husband, Bill, Michael Parsons and his wife, Elaine, Janelle Caron and her husband, Tim; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon G. Lebel in 1975; and three children, Rolande, Roger and Lorraine. Relatives and friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
