SHERMAN MILLS – Corinne O’Roak Bragdon, 79, passed away Jan. 11, 2007, at Millinocket Regional Hospital. She was born Nov. 18, 1926, in Sherman Mills, the daughter of Burleigh and Mattie (McQuarrie) O’Roak. Corinne was a member of the Washburn Memorial United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school, was president of the Flower Committee and deaconess for 11 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star OES 95, the Federated Women’s Club VFW, the Ladies Auxiliary, the Molunkus Valley Snow Drifters and the parade organizer for Sherman Old Home Days. Corinne enjoyed painting, cake decorating, gardening and volunteering for many church activities. Corinne is survived by three children, Leslie Bragdon and his wife, Carolyn, of Orland, Kelley Bragdon and his wife, Kelly, of Millinocket and Georgia McNally and her husband, Barry, of Sherman; six grandchildren, Raquel Bragdon of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Yvette Bragdon of Los Angeles, Michelle DiCentes and her husband, Andrew, of Auburn, Laura Bragdon of Millinocket, Rick Doyle and his wife, Shannon Flood, of Bucksport and Kevin Doyle and his friend, Marsha Causton, of Bangor; three great-grandchildren, Robin Doyle of Bucksport and Scott Doyle, Stevi-Ann Seamans and her husband, David, all of Bangor; one great-great-grand-daughter, Isabelle; three brothers, Walton, Clair and Dean O’Roak; one sister, Dorothy McLellan; one aunt, Delia Hamilton of East Millinocket; sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Clifton Bragdon; her parents; two brothers, Frederick and Bill; one sister, Verda Mitchell; and very special companion, her miniature schnauzer, Wolfie. A private memorial service will be held for family 2 p.m. Monday at Washburn Memorial Church, Sherman. A time of visitation and fellowship for friends and relatives will be held 2:45 p.m. Monday at Washburn Memorial Church Hall.
