WOODLAND – Dana G. Farley has been called home to our Lord at the young age of 59, Sept. 28, 2006, at his residence after a long illness of 22 years, caused by a farm truck accident in 1962. Sept. 28, 2006, is the anniversary of that accident in which he was thought not to survive. He was born Nov. 28, 1946, in Presque Isle, the son of Alton and Muriel (Alley) Farley. He was educated in the Washburn school system, and was a mechanic for eight years at Mecon and at potato processing plants for many years. He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Dana was a loving and devoted husband and father and a great loving grandfather to his family. He loved his family, children and helping people. He was an avid hunter. He loved old country music and talking about important events, past and present. Dana married Augustine (Dubois) Farley May 4, 1979. Surviving, in addition to his wife of Woodland; are two sons, Billy J. Farley of Woodland and Dana Glenn Farley of Caribou; one daughter, Jennifer Sutherland and her husband, Claude, of Limestone; one sister, Crystall Swope of Georgia; three brothers, Alton Jr. Farley of Wade, Braighton and his wife, Rena and Jim Farley, all of Perham; one grandson, Claude III; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Dana will be dearly missed by his in-laws, Lester and Lisa Dubois of Fort Kent, Gloria and Bernard Damboise and Joan and Greg Prest, all of Caribou and Robert and Laurie Dubois of New York; and by many friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Russell; and a daughter, Tracey. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond officiating. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish to contribute in memory of Dana may do so to the support of the family. Envelopes may be obtained through the funeral home.
