EAST CORINTH and ELLSWORTH – Daniel “Danny” Arthur Douglas, 49, died May 17, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Aug. 17, 1954, the son of Harold M. and Caroline T. (Douglass) Douglas. Danny worked at Wyman’s Blueberry Factory for a short time and then worked at Bangor Post Office for a number of years. He also was maintenance at Courtland Nursing in Ellsworth, until he got too sick to work. Danny played guitar and the drums and was an avid Red Sox fan. He was a Little League Coach, participated in bowling leagues, and was a member of the Jaycee’s in Corinth for a number of years. He loved everyone and was loved by everyone. Danny is survived by a sister, Sharon L. McKenna and husband, Peter, of Dixmont; two brothers, Les G. Douglas and friend, Donna Ross, Robbie M. Douglas and friend, Wendy Grindle, all of Corinth; nieces, Sue Hansen and husband, Tom, of Corinth, Kimberly Sinclair and husband, Doug, of Hermon; nephew, Doug Williams, of North Carolina, Bob Williams Jr. of Portland, Chris Douglas of Harpswell, Todd Douglas of Brewer; great-nieces, Meaghan and Chelsea Sinclair, Jacqueline Williams; great-nephew, Celab Williams; a cousin, Betty Martin; and very close friends, Gary, Addie and Rebecca Wakefield. Friends are invited to meet with the family from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, at the Hermon Baptist Church, where funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Garnett Chute officiating. Interment will be at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at 188 New Boston Road, Hermon, following the services.
