MANSFIELD, Mass. – Darlene (Eaton) Casher, RN, 70, of West Street, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008. She was the wife of Theodore P. Casher, to whom she was married May 15, 1960. Born April 4, 1938, in Presque Isle, she was a daughter of the late Percy L. and Arlene F. (Fillmore) Eaton. Raised and educated in Maine, she was a 1956 graduate of the former Mapleton High School and earned her nursing degree from Maine Medical Center School of Nursing in 1960. Mrs. Casher was employed as the occupational health nurse at the former Foxboro Co., Foxboro, Mass., for 18 years and for the past three years was employed as the administrator of Temple Beth David of the South Shore, Canton, Mass. She was the secretary and treasurer of the South Eastern Regional Occupational Nurses organization. In addition to her husband of 48 years, she leaves four children, Dana E. Casher of Randolph, Mass., Elizabeth M. Casher of Cranston, R.I., Lisa B. Casher of Gorham and Zachary A. Casher of Wrentham, Mass.; four grandchildren, Abraham Ross Gobel of Randolph, Mass., Cassaundra J. Martel, Samuel A. Martel and Isaac B. Martel, all of Gorham; a brother, Dale M. Eaton of West Chapman; and a sister, Beverly E. Shulen-burg of Athol, Mass. She was the sister of the late Dana P. Eaton and Wayne F. Eaton. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 13, in the memorial chapel of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave., exit 5 off I-95 North or South, go right at end of ramp, 3/4 mile on left, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attle-boro, Mass. Shiva will be observed 6-8 p.m. both Sunday, July 13, and Monday, July 14, at her daughter, Dana E. Casher’s home, 4 Fawn Circle, Randolph, Mass., with a min-yan service held 7 p.m. both evenings. A memorial service will also be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, at Temple Beth David of the South Shore, 1060 Randolph St., Canton, Mass. Please omit flowers.
