BREWER – David Allen Kelly, 55, died Oct. 14, 2005, at Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born Feb. 3, 1950, in Caribou, the son of Philip Elwood and Barbara (Cray) Kelly. David was a veteran of the U.S. Marines and was employed for 24 years by the City of Brewer in the public works department. He was a member of the Ralph J. Pollard Lodge No. 217 AF & AM of Orrington. David enjoyed hunting and fishing with his friends. Surviving are his loving wife, Vickie R. Kelly of Brewer; three children, Sherry Lynn Bedard and her husband, Mackie, of Bangor, David A. Kelly II and his companion, Shannon, of Bangor and Crystal R. Kelly of Brewer; five grandchildren, Devin, Corey, D.J., Brittney, and Ashley; his mother, Barbara (Cray) Kelly of Caribou; three sisters, Brenda McNeal and Cindy Kelly, both of Caribou and Betty Chase of Oakland; one brother, Scott Kelly of Woodland; a very special mother-in-law, Barbara Walsh; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his father, Philip; and brother, Jim. The family would like to especially thank the girls on the C-Unit at Maine Veterans’ Home. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 at Brookings-Smith, Clark Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a Masonic service will be held 7:30 p.m. conducted by the officers and members of Ralph J. Pollard Lodge, and where funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, with the Rev. Charles Hurst, pastor of the Apostolic Lighthouse Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Reception Rooms, 55 South Main St., Brewer, immediately following the service. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
