LUCERNE-IN-MAINE – David Anthony Foster, 55, died March 20, 2005, after a courageous two year battle with brain cancer. He was born June 27, 1949, in Bangor to parents, John H. Foster Jr. and Delia C. (Gonyer) Foster. David attended Bucksport schools and received a degree in business administration from Husson College after serving his country in the U.S. Navy. David was founder of Tripps Travel Inc. and worked as its president with his dear friends Barbara Witham and Carl Milliken until his death. David served as overseer for his beloved Lucerne-in-Maine Village for nine years. David leaves behind many friends including those at the Brewer Eagle Club, Bangor Noontime Rotary, and his handball buddies. David is survived by his son, Tony David Foster, 23; and daughter, Kimberly Ann Foster, 18, both of Lucerne-in-Maine; his long term friend and companion, Sharon Brazier of Dedham; and his brother, Kenneth Foster of Bucksport. In addition to a large, close family of nieces, nephews and cousins, two sisters-in-law, Carole Foster and Marilyn Brooks also survive David. Three brothers, John III, Walter and Richard predeceased David. Calling hours will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Brookings-Smith, Clark Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where services will be conducted 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, by the Rev. Larry Zimmerman. After the service, friends are invited to gather at the Arey Community Center, 1160 River Road in North Bucksport.
