LAKEVILLE, Mass. – David C. Merrill, 55, died Aug. 7, 2007, surrounded by his family at his home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Rhonda L. (Kitchen) Merrill. Born Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1951, in Bangor, he was the son of the late Edward O. and Lillian (Chretien) Merrill. David was a 1970 graduate of Orono High School, and had lived in Lakeville, Mass., for the past 22 years. He was involved with numerous successful businesses including American Business Products, Ikon Office Products and most recently was president and founder of Insight Health Solutions of East Providence, R.I. Mr. Merrill was working toward his third degree black belt in karate and enjoyed playing darts, riding his Harley and working in his yard. In addition to his wife of 25 years, Rhonda; he is survived by his children, Kendra J. Merrill of Lakeville, Mass., Christian L. Merrill of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and Mathew A. Merrill of Nashua, N.H.; his siblings, Barbara A. Merrill and her husband, David Twombly, of Byfield, Mass., Edward H. Merrill and his wife, Kathy, of Monmouth, Alan G. Merrill of Epping, N.H., Denise M. Ashby and her husband, Thomas, of West Buxton, and Theresa M. Cook and her husband, Donald, of Mashpee, Mass.; many nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will take place 4-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville, Mass. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at the funeral home.
