MILFORD – David Frank Dalrymple Sr., 69, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2004, as a result of an aneurysm at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Milford, Nov. 7, 1934, son of the late David F. and Madeline F. (Field) Dalrymple. David never moved far from his birthplace and was loved by many in his small close-knit community. He graduated from the Milford Public School System and had worked for The University of Maine in Orono for 27 years. David was active in the U.S. Marine Corp for a short period of his life. He is survived by two sons, David F. Dalrymple Jr. of Costigan, Galen John Dalrymple and his wife, Sherri of Costigan; four sisters, Geneine Bouchard of Bradford, Nancy Whitney and her husband, Curtis, of Lincoln, Ethelyn Holmes and her husband, Linwood, of Lincoln, Helen Shirland and her husband, Lawrence “Skip,” of Lincoln; five grandchildren, Mary Sue, Barbi, Jeffrey, Shane and Rebecca; five great-grand-children, Robbie, Kaitlyn, Rachel, Hope and Gage; many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. David had many friends in his lifetime but there were eight who were very close and special to his heart, Fernald Madden, Tony and Cindy Madden and their son, Derek, Dick and Doris Segar, Victor and Judy Cyr. He spoke of their love and kindness often. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Galen John Dalrymple. Friends may call 10 a.m. Friday until time of service at 11:30 a.m. at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with Pastor William Bewell officiating.
