BANGOR and WINTERPORT – David Paul Langway, 53, went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2003. He was born in Bangor, July 9, 1950, the first born child of William Francis and Christine Marie (Welch) Langway. David was a 1968 graduate of Bangor High School. He loved the outdoors, flowers, plants, writing and photography. David is survived by three children, Jesu Langway, Genie M. Langway and Marine Corpral Derek P. Langway; three sisters, Geneva Duncan-Frost, Sherry Langway and Cindy Orcutt; step-mother, Eleanor Langway; step-brother and sister, Mark Caswell and Cathy Courtois; one uncle, Leland Welch; one aunt, Sylvia Pearson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. David had many dear friends, especially Carolyn and Larry Young. He also had many special friends who shared the love of the Lord and gave him great happiness and strength. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at the Midcoast Christian Fellowship, 21 Patterson Hill Road, Belfast, with Pastor Jim Begley, officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Village Cemetery, Corinna. In keeping with David’s love for others, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Waldo County Food Bank, care of the Midcoast Christian Fellowship, 21 Patterson Hill Road, Belfast, ME 04915.
