MORRILL – David Robert Blood, 69, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007, at home. He was born Oct. 16, 1937, at home in Belfast, the son of Robert and Nellie (Herbert) Blood. David was a member of the Belfast Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason, York and Scottish Rites; a member since 1980 of the Anah Temple Shrine, member of the Waldo County Shrine, the Bangor-Brewer and Mid-Coast Shrine Clubs; and was past president of the Anah Medic Corp. He was also a member since 1965 and past president of the Belfast Curling Club. David was predeceased by his father. He is survived by his mother, Nellie Blood Thompson; his wife, Irene (Thibodeau) Blood; his children, Roxie Whitney and husband, Terry, Dianne Drake, Michael Blood and wife, Barbara, Dale Blood and wife, Billy-Jo, Rafe Blood and partner, Roy Rodgers, Michele Blood and partner, Dale Pendleton, Catherine Robbins and husband, Bryan; grandchildren, Lori Whitney, Darcy Fritz and husband, Chip, Ryan Drake, Nicole Bonney and husband, Aaron, Diana Blood, Marion Blood, Emily Blood, Savana Blood, Colby Robbins, Nicholas Faulkingham and wife, Jen; great-grandchildren, Alex, Seth, Cort and Audra; two sisters, Nancy Sampson and husband, Robert and Rebecca Vachon and husband, William; several nieces and nephews and many special friends with whom he loved spending time with. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, during which time there will be a Masonic service. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the funeral home with the Rev. David Abbott officiating.
