LAMOINE – David Farrell, 69, died unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 26, 2006, at his home. He was born March 20, 1937, in Ellsworth, the son of James and Cassie (Bickford) Farrell. David graduated from Bar Harbor High School, Class of 1956. David served his country as a storekeeper in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1982 after 26 years of service. He returned with his wife to his beloved Maine, residing in a new house he helped build in Lamoine. David enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and mowing with his tractor the many acres of lawn on the property. For the last eight years he helped his wife at the Tideway Market, Hancock. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Evelyn, whom he had loved for 47 years; one son, Richard “Rick” and his wife, Lisa Farrell, of Houston; his daughter, Lisa and her husband, Stuart Branch, of Lamoine; two grandchildren, Joseph and Katelynn Branch of Lamoine; three brothers, James Farrell of Rice, Va., Embert Farrell of Florida and Donald Farrell of Lubec; and two sisters, Nita Keene of Franklin and Alice Billings of Portland. He also leaves a large family of in-laws, Doreen and Russell Boynton of Lamoine and their children and grandchildren, Enid and Bill Neleski of Lamoine and their children and grandchildren, Robert and Linda Madrell of Lamoine and their children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Corrine Farrell; and one brother, John Farrell. David’s wishes were to be cremated with his ashes spread over his land, with no ceremony.
