ADDISON – Deborah E. Foss, 78, died July 23, 2005, at her home in Addison, after a long valiant battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 18, 1926, in Jonesport, the daughter of John W. and Flora M. (Groves) Foss. Deborah or Nanny, as she was known, was a lifelong resident of Addison and was dedicated to her family and welcomed everyone to her home where you would be considered her family. She said that her family was her greatest accomplishment and she always gave oceans of love and care without hesitation. Nanny could be identified by her bag of ‘goodies’ and her camera and was usually able to get a coveted image on film. She enjoyed card games, Yahtzee and drinking tea and she lived independently at her home until her passing still trying to find ways of caring for everybody else. She is survived by three daughters, Sheila Brookman and her husband, James, and Shirley Wierman and her husband, James, all of Guilford, and Naomie Grady and her husband, Shannon, of Colebrook, N.H.; 21 grandchildren, Deborah Pease and her husband, Charles, Frank Brooks and his wife, Sherry, Billy Brooks and his wife, Kellyann, Michael Brooks and his wife, Donna, Patrick Brooks and his wife, Kristy, Sarina and Melissa Brooks, Jason Guin, Jamie Brookman, Shannon Boudreau and her husband, Joe, Trevis Eastman and his wife, Sarah, Tristan Eastman, Terrill Eastman and his wife, Jamie, Heidi Wierman, Linette Jones and JJ Wierman, Heather Grady and her fianc?, Greg, Karmen, Rebecca and Stefanie Grady and Valarie Foss; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Hilda Peabody of Jonesport; one daughter-in-law, Jackie Foss of Holden; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Myron Foss; one brother, Bud Foss; and a grandson, Troy Eastman. Friends may visit 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, with President Neil Williams from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Bangor, officiating. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Clifton.
