OLD TOWN/TREAT and WEBSTER ISLAND – Debra M. Malenfant, 52, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at her residence surrounded by her family, following a long illness. She was born in Bangor, Jan. 19, 1952, daughter of Richard and Mona (Page) St. Louis. Debra was a graduate of Old Town High School, Class of 1971. She went on to work for Sears and St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was an active member of the Old Town VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3381. She loved traveling, gardening and tending to her flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family who will forever cherish the unconditional love she demonstrated as a wife and a mother. Debra will be fondly remembered for her giving nature and her willingness to help others. The Malenfant family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Cancer Care of Maine, Dr. Hartz and his staff, and to Hospice of Eastern Maine for the gentle care that was provided throughout Debra’s illness. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 33 years, Galen; daughter, Wendy and her husband, Dustin Hadley, of New Hampshire; son, Jeffrey and his companion, Melissa Farinaro of Bangor; her parents, Richard and Mona St. Louis of Milford; four brothers, Richard Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Milford, Michael and his wife, Beverly, of Old Town, David and his wife, Terri, of Old Town, Timothy and his wife, Lenna, of Eddington; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday, at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Holy Family Parish, Old Town, with the Rev. Normand Richard celebrant. Committal will be held immediately following the Mass at St. Joseph Cemetery, Old Town.
