BEALS – Delanie B. Beal, 60, went to rest and be with her Lord quietly and peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004, at an Ellsworth hospital after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease surrounded by her loving family and special friends, George and Barbara Drisko. She was born July 18, 1944, in Addison on Crowley’s Island, the sixth of 11 children to be born and raised by Rachel and Lawrence Emerson of West Jonesport. After receiving education in Jonesport schools she later met Carl W. Beal, who became her loving husband on Feb. 22, 1964. They lived on Beals and through their 40 years of marriage they raised three daughters, Melissa, Lisa and Atrisha. She was predeceased by her beloved baby boy in 1965, her firstborn, her grandparents, Effie and Jeremiah Norton, Katie and Will Faulkingham; her parents, Rachel and Lawrence Emerson; one brother, George, in 1993. She will be dearly missed, her memory deeply loved and her strong spirit will live on through her husband, Carl Beal; daughter, Melissa and Curt, daughter, Lisa and Mike and family, daughter, Atrisha; granddaughters, Megan and Jillian Latimer; her brothers and sisters, Lucille and Jack Albee and family, Maxwell and Glennis Emerson and family, Ernest and Jackie Emerson and family, Clifton and Loretta Emerson and family, Carla and Alberton Merritt and family, Sherman and Janie Emerson and family, Larry and Nellie Emerson and family, Darlene and Byron Carver and family, and Robert Emerson; three sisters-in-law, Lucille Tibbetts and family, Thelma Beal and family, and Ramona Emerson and family; and many other nieces, nephews, family members and special friends. Memorial services will be held at a date to be announced.
