OLD TOWN – Delcena M. Blaisdell, 76, a resident of East Fishkill, N.Y., since 1959, formerly of Old Town, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, Newburgh, N.Y. Born Feb. 9, 1931, in Old Town, Delcena was the daughter of the late Leon and Anna Madore King. In 1996, she retired as a secretary for the medical practice of Drs. Soma and Amia, Hyde Park, N.Y. She was a member of St. Columba Church, Hope-well Junction, N.Y., and Faculty Wives of Wappingers Central School District, New York. When she graduated from Old Town High School in 1949, she received the Danforth Award. On Sept. 3, 1956, she married Eugene Blaisdell. Her husband survives at home. Other survivors include her three sons, Mark Blaisdell and his wife, Kim, of East Aurora, N.Y., Dean Blaisdell and his wife, Robin, of Mons, Belgium, and Jeffrey Blaisdell and his wife, Sherry, of Hyde Park, N.Y.; her grandchildren, Alicia Franclemont and Brandon and Andrew Blaisdell; her great-grandchildren, Alynn and Aidan Franclemont; her sisters, Lillian Moore of Old Town and Gloria Jacobs of Brewer; and her brother, Maurice King of Scarborough. Calling hours are private. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, N.Y. Interment will be held at St. Denis Cemetery, Hope-well Junction, N.Y.
