ORLAND – Delcina J. (Johnson) Doucette, 65, died Oct. 27, 2005, at her residence. She was born Feb. 19, 1940, in Old Town, the daughter of Pearl (Gilman) and Benjamin Johnson Sr. She graduated from Bucksport High School, Class of 1958. Delcina was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport, and for the last year at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ellsworth. She worked 14 years at Bangor Convalescent Center, Bangor, as a CNA and three years with New Hope Hospice of Eddington. Delcina is survived by her husband, Everest F. “Sonny” Doucette Sr. of Orland; her mother, Pearl C. Johnson Standley of Chino, Calif.; five children, Everest Doucette III, of New Milford, Conn., Julieanne Doucette of Bangor, Bruce Doucette of Littleton, Colo., Renee Overlock of Carmel, Christopher Doucette of Orland; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Lenora Johnson of Chino, Calif. and Amelia Chryss of Canyon Lake, Calif.; brother, Benjamin Johnson Jr. of Orland; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Bucksport. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Bucksport. Following the funeral a gathering for conversation and refreshment will be held at the church hall, and later at the Doucette’s home in Orland.
