SUTHERLAND, Va., and BANGOR – Della Rose Bragdon, 94, died March 30, 2007, in Crittenden, Ky. She was born Oct. 30, 1912, in Blue Hill, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Robbins) Hooper. Della was a member of the Mariaville Grange and American Legion Auxiliary, Orono. She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Clancy and husband, Gurney, of Kentucky, and Alice LeBarnes and husband, Fred, of Virginia; sisters, Elsie Day of Turner, Ruth Reed of Town Hill, Eva Sargent of Bangor and Mildred Fletcher of Bar Harbor; eight grandchildren and 21 great-grand-children. She was predeceased by her husband, Jasper Bragdon; son, Alton Carter Jr. of The Dallas, Ore.; and three great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held 10-11 a.m. Friday, May 4, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Interment will be at Brimmer Cemetery, Mariaville.
