CROSS LAKE – Delsie N. Charette, 74, died Sept. 3, 2005, at Maine Medical Center, in Portland, after a brief illness. He was born April 24, 1931, in Fort Kent, the son of Armand and Laura (Gagnon) Charette. He retired after 41 years as Station Agent for Bangor & Aroostook Railroad and was a member of the Fort Kent Historical Society. He served in the U.S. National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Angela “Angie” Picard Charette; one son, Tom and his wife, Julie, of Gardiner; four daughters, Diane and Michael Toussaint of St. Albans, Vt., Louise and Gary Kiesow of Augusta, Brenda Bolduc of Cross Lake, Gail and Steve Johnson of Fort Kent; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rena and her husband, Lee Keith, of Arizona, Norma of Van Buren, Sylvia and her husband, Gene Michaud, of Fort Kent. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, four sisters and a special nephew, David Martin. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sinclair with the Rev. Philip Cyr officiating. Burial in the St. Euthrope Cemetery, Guerrete.
