CORINNA – Donald C. Littlefield, 81, died July 6, 2004, at a Pittsfield hos-pital. He was born Feb. 8, 1923, in Montville, a son of Charlie and Marianne (Carter) Littlefield. He received his high school diploma from Mount View High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European theatre. In 1946 he started Littlefield’s Garage in Corinna, where he operated a Jeep and farm equipment dealership, which is now operated as Littlefield’s Used Auto Parts by his son. Don especially loved the 14 years he and Esther wintered in Kissimmee, Fla., and the summers on Big Indian Pond in St. Albans. He was a member of the Marsh River Masonic Lodge in Brooks, and the Corinna Post American Legion. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Esther (Reynolds) Littlefield of Corinna; his son, Kerby and wife, Gail Littlefield, of Corinna; two daughters, Sharon Littlefield of Cumberland, Muriel Littlefield and husband, Kenneth Toner, of Freeport; two brothers, Clayton Littlefield and wife, Pauline, of Montville, Royce and wife, Elva Littlefield, of Jackson; grandchildren, Mark Irish, Hillary Salisbury, Ezekiel Toner, Tracy Farnham; and a great-grand-daughter, Emma Farnham; several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his devoted dog, Chrissy. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where a Masonic funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 9.
