DEBLOIS and MEDWAY – Donald E. Glidden, 56, died May 10, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 31, 1949, in Island Falls, the son of Helen (Grant) and Harold L. Glidden Jr. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed for many years as a mechanic. Donald enjoyed fishing and camping at Picket Mountain Pond. He loved his dogs, Patches and Trucker. He is survived by a son, Carl, his wife, Heidi; grandson, C.J., as well a granddaughter on the way, Catti-Brie Marie, of Springfield; two sisters, Sharon Gagnon and her husband, James, of East Millinocket and Roberta Cole and her husband, John, of Prentiss; grandmother, Hildred Grant of Lincoln; aunts and uncles, George Woodard of Augusta, Hartley and Earlene Grant of Medway, Erma Grant of Mattawamkeag, Minnie Carswell and her husband, Alan, of Florida, and Ethel Cleveland of New Hampshire; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, John L. Glidden. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Friday, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gerald Craig officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Chase Cemetery.
