BANGOR – Donald Joseph Taylor, 51, died unexpectedly Nov. 26, 2006. He was born Oct. 12, 1955, in Bangor, the son of Henry and Marion (Bolduc) Taylor. He was a lifelong resident of Bangor, educated in the Bangor public schools and the University of Maine, where he received his bachelor’s degree in history, and did graduate work in child psychology. Don was an avid reader of history and very knowledgeable about U.S. history and government. He loved music, played the guitar and played in a local band. As a youth, Don was very athletic, starring in the Westside Little League program where he pitched several no-hitters and a perfect game. He also excelled in hitting. He participated in the Regional Pepsi Pass, Punt and Kick competition where he was a regional winner. This led to his participation in the New England finals at the half time of a Patriots game. Don enjoyed taking trips to Bar Harbor with his two daughters and dog to go hiking and camping. He also liked to challenge his daughters to a rousing game of cribbage. He possessed a child-like spirit which kept him young at heart. Donald is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Sarah Elizabeth and Hannah Lynn Taylor; his sister, Sharon Ann Taylor; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his friends, co-workers, family and pets. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Richard Joseph Taylor, M.D. Friends and family are invited to join in the celebration of his life 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at Eddington/Clifton Civic Center, Comins Hall, Eddington.
