PORTLAND – Donald J. Tremble, Sr., 63, passed away Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Maine Medical Center, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 21, 1941, in Bangor, the son of Harold and Margaret (Luosey) Tremble. He was a graduate from John Bapst High School in Bangor and later graduated from Husson College majoring in business administration and education. He retired from Edward Little High School after teaching for 38 years. He was currently working for the Susan Curtis Foundation, in Portland. He enjoyed being a member of the Ancient Bros. Mason Lodge, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and York Rite in Auburn and a Noble in the Kora Temple. He was involved for many years with the Maine Education Association. He had many professional accomplishments from real estate to drivers education but is remember more for his generous heart and giving nature, always the one with a smile and a kind word. He filled many lives with love and much laughter. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anne (Henry) Tremble, of Portland; two daughters, Jacqueline Witham and her husband, James, of Cumberland, Debbie Bernier and her husband, George, of Poland; one son, Donald J. Jr. and his wife, Jillian Tremble of Raymond; brother, Joseph Tremble of Brewer; two sisters, Catherine McGlaughlin of Bangor, Nancy Pare of Brewer; six grandchildren, Sage, Taylor, Daniel, William, Brian, and Helen, and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by all family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Jack Tremble, and Richard Tremble. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel, where a Masonic Service will be conducted 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Memorial Chapel.
