NEW LIMERICK – Donald L. Austin, 56, Jan. 28, 2005, at Houlton with his loving family at his side after complications associated with a heart attack. He was born March 2, 1948, in Houlton, the son of Vernon and Evelyn (McCarthy) Austin. Donald attended Houlton schools, was employed at James River Corp. for 29 years and for the past two years enjoyed working at A.E. McQuade and Steelstone with the boys. He found great enjoyment spending time with his grandchildren as well as camping and thru the years working side by side with his father, mother and sister on the family farm. In addition to his father of Houlton, he is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sandra (Stewart) Austin of New Limerick; two children, Corey and his wife, Gloria Austin and their son, William of Houlton, Angela and her husband, Robert Hannigan and their children, Kaitlin and Carolyn of Houlton; one sister, Barbara and her husband, Leigh Tarr, of Oakfield and their son, Charles Tarr and his family; a special cousin, Ronald and his wife, Barbara Austin, of Ludlow; mother-in-law, Loretta Stewart of New Limerick; father-in-law, Floyd Stewart of Hodgdon; three sisters-in-law, Doreen Stewart, Darleen and her husband, Larry Guy and their children, Jason and Jessica, all of New Limerick and Janice and her husband, Bill Dee of New Brunswick, Canada; one brother-in-law, Robert and his wife, Elaine Stewart, of Ludlow; several nieces, nephews and cousins and he will be sadly missed by his cat “Missy”. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. James Gardiner and Rev. Richard Murray officiating. Spring interment will be in the New Limerick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make donations to the family, care of Bowers Funeral Home, P.O.
