CARIBOU – Donald W. Miller, 72, died Feb. 13, 2005, at Caribou. He was born May 21, 1932, at Caribou, the son of Ezra and Phoebe (Wilcox) Miller. He was educated in the Caribou school system and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Don was employed by several area potato farmers including Ronald Guerrette and Warren Anderson and was also the Sexton at the Evergreen Cemetery for several years. He was a life long resident of Caribou and was known by all. He was a member of the VFW Post of Presque Isle and the Henry B. Pratt Post No. 15 American Legion and a member of the Biggest Buck in Maine Club. Don was an avid hunter and fisherman and was known for telling the best jokes in the whole wide world. He is survived by two sons, Ron Levesque and his wife, Susan, of Fishkill, N.Y. and Roy Levesque and his wife, Margaret, of Sanford; a sister, Betty Ouellette and her husband, Joe, of Lewiston; a special sister-in-law, Jean Beaulieu of Caribou; several nieces, nephews and cousins, including special nephews, Floyd Tracy and his wife, Pam, of Caribou and their children, Preston Tracy and Jennifer Violette; and Elmer Tracy of Burgaw, N.C.; two uncles, Don Wilcox and his wife, Marilyn and Delmar Wilcox, all of Caribou; many grandchildren including Paige Levesque and Albert, Bond and Colene Levesque, Ching and Karen Ash, Jay Ash, Mark, Michael and Lisa Levesque, Gary and Chris, Donald and Beverly Levesque; several great-grandchildren, including Cleo Antoinette Levesque, Ronnie, Alyssa and Nicole Ash. Don will be also remembered by his very special friends and neighbors, Sharon and Eli Paddleford and Family; a special “Buddy,” Ken Doucette of Limestone and his beloved dog Sparky. He was predeceased by his wife, Antoinette Miller on Nov. 11, 2002; a brother, Ezra Miller Jr.; five sisters, Hilda Hotchkiss, Annie Dona, Gertrude Lamar, Gloria Peterson and Adeline Miller. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 16, 2005, from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rennie Tichnor, pastor, officiating. Spring interment will take place in the Evergreen Cemetery.
