WESLEY – Donna (Harmon) Sowers, 59, died March 8, 2004, at Marshall Health Care in Machias after fighting a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 1, 1945, in Machias the daughter of Leon and Genaver (Johnson) Harmon. Donna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, step-grandmother and friend. She worked in the woods with her husband, she was a cook at Carlow’s Cabins, a factory worker at Guptil Farms and always a very good housewife. Donna is survived by her husband of 36 years, Alfred Sowers; a son, Bernard Sowers and his wife, Teresa of Wesley; three step-grandchildren, and a very special step-grandson, David Jr., whom she loved very much, several nieces, nephews and friends. At Donna’s request there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are by Cremation Services of Maine.
