FORT KENT – Doris “Dot” Marquis, 69, died peacefully March 14, 2006. She was the wife of the late Raymond Marquis who died in 1974. Dot was born in Fort Kent, July 12, 1936, the daughter of Arthur and Leone (Gagne) Pelletier. She was a member of the Fort Kent Columbiettes and devoted much of her time helping people. She was a great caregiver and took great care of her two daughters whom she loved very much. She is survived by two daughters, Diane and her husband, David Delgadillo; one grandson, David Ray Delgadillo, all of Fullerton, Calif., Susan Marquis of Anaheim Hills, Calif.; her mother, Leone Pelletier of Eagle Lake; one sister, Dora Pelletier of Anaheim, Calif.; one brother, Herman “Babe” Pelletier and his wife, Pam, of Fort Kent; two nieces, Michelle Soucy of St. Agatha and Cindy Pelletier of St. Louis, Mo. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Edgar J. (Guy) Paradis Cancer Fund, Northern Maine Medical Center, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743. Spring burial will be held in the parish cemetery May 11, 2006. Arrangements are being conducted by the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
