GUILFORD and TROY – Doris M. Tarr, 87, died March 15, 2007, at a Dexter health care facility. She was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Island Falls, a daughter of Thane and Maude (Downs) Clifford. She retired from Hardwood Products, Guilford. Doris was a member of the Valley Grange and the Guilford Extension. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Harley and Janet Tarr, Robert Tarr, all of Guilford, and George and June Tarr of Sangerville; three daughters and their husbands, Lois and John Smart of East Holden, Nancy and Basil Patterson of Abbot, and Ann and David Parsons of Troy; a brother and his wife, Thane and Genieva Clifford of Parkman; and a sister, Genevieve Page of St. Albans; 14 grandchildren, Timmy, Cory, Shannon, Scott, Billy, Jason, Kevin, Lisa, Brenda, Roxanne, Serena, Chad, Holly, and Jared; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and a special friend, John Moore. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Monday at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, with the Rev. Ray Beless officiating. Friends may call 6 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
