PRESQUE ISLE – Doris B. McBreairty, 76, died Jan. 9, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Presque Isle, July 27, 1929, the daughter of Wesley and Bertha (Carmichael) Shaw. She attended the State Street Baptist Church, and was a retired nurse from A.R. Gould Hospital in Presque Isle after 15 years of service. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Fred and Nelda Crowley of Kenne, Texas, Glennie and Lois Crowley of Pratine Bridge, N.Y. and Gene Crowley of Gloversville, N.Y.; three daughters and their husbands, Brenda and Roger Pinette, Theresa and Donald Gardiner, all of Washburn and Lena McPherson; a brother, Ralph Shaw and his wife, Marion, of Presque Isle, a sister, Ruby Beecham and her husband, Houlan, of Texas; 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Perry McBreairty in 2001. There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the State Street Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 826, Presque Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home.
