LILLE and MADAWASKA – Doris Theriault, 85, died Jan. 25, 2004, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born July 8, 1918, in St. Anne, New Brunswick, the daughter of Clovis and Anna (Sirois) Grivois. She was a very hard working woman who raised a family of five. She and her husband owned and operated Theriault’s Boarding Home for the elderly in Lille for many years. She later enjoyed a long retirement. She was a loving woman with a big and generous heart and was a second mother to many. She is survived by three daughters, Lise Parker of Madawaska, Priscille Cyr and her husband, Carroll, of East Hartford, Conn., Colette Saindon and her husband, Gerald, of Orleans, Vt.; one son, James Theriault and his wife, Yolonda (Martinez) of El Paso, Texas; four brothers, Clifford Grivois of Enfield, Conn., Andrew Grivois of Van Buren, George Grivois of East Hartford, Conn., Joseph Grivois of Easton; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmo Theriault, in 1998; a daughter, Georgette Beaulieu, in 1992; and by three brothers, Emery, John and Gerard Grivois. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle. Friends and relatives may call at the Daigle Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Interment will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Lille in the spring.
