ORRINGTON and BREWER Doris V. Perkins, 92, wife of the late Victor Perkins, died Nov. 5, 2006, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 25, 1913, in Fairfield, the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Proveau) King. Dottie worked for the Soil Conservation Service and then went to work with her second husband, Victor, at Perkins Appliance, Inc., until he retired in 1978. They enjoyed their retirement years in Florida. Dottie was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Brewer. She is survived by three sisters, Florence K. Lamson, Evelyn K. Hayward and Frances L. King, all of Brewer; and three stepchildren, Delora Elliott of New Mexico, Elaine Elkin of Orrington, Robert Perkins of St. Petersburg, Fla.; many beloved nieces, nephews and stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren. In addition to her parents and her second husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, Gerald B. Vigue; two brothers, Donald J. King and Henry A. King; three sisters, Eva K. Bridges, Irene K. Parsons and T. Marie Webb. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Brewer, with the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt, pastor, celebrant and the Rev. Robert T. Carlson, Chaplain of Husson College, officiating. Interment will be at St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville, immediately after the service.
