BANGOR – Dorothy A. Hodge passed away May 3, 2007, in Bangor. She was born Jan. 7, 1928, the daughter of Edward J. and Annabelle (Trowell) McGee. After graduating from John Bapst High School, Dotty worked for several years as an operator at New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church and St. John’s Council of Catholic Women. She also was a member of the Eagles Club, Brewer; Veazie Senior Citizens Club, Hammond Street Senior Center and served for a time as an RSVP volunteer in the Meals for ME program. Dotty enjoyed dancing, shopping and spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey J. Hodge and his wife, Kim, of Etna; nieces, nephews, cousins; and her very special friend, Harry MacDonald of East Millinocket. Dotty was predeceased by her parents; and her sister, Mary Richard. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church in the chapel of St. Jude’s, with a reception after in the parish hall. Burial will be after at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
